Kalilangan Festival will not be complete without choosing the Lakan and Lakambini.

I went to Gaisano to witness the event. Every year I'm looking forward for this pageant. I'm always looking forward for the gowns and the production numbers of the candidates. And indeed I was not dismayed, the modern filipiniana gowns designed by Johnny Abad, the President of Filipino Designers Association of the Philippines are epic. I can see the judges reactions when they saw the gowns and I think they want one also. (okey, okey i want one also hehehehe)

Maureen Paulo and Jenel Labiana were 1st runners up and Dave Barbero and Sarashvati Sarkar bagged 2nd runner up.

And a new twist in showing of the candidates curves not with bikinis but with a PLAY SUITS a very interesting and colorful twist I may say. The shows choreography as expected was superb with sir Dino Veloso directing it.

A close fight but in the end the wit, poise and intelligence of Caroline Lim and Gervic Romero bagged them the title of Lakan at Lakambini 2010.

I had the chance to meet new blogger friends Ria Jose, Chattee Lara, Angel Abella and Dulce Lada . Lyle Santos and Brendel Balaga was tasked to judge the pageant.

One thing I love when ganda ever so much, Orman Manansala organize an event is that it's not boring. And every year their is always something new and exciting.

July 8, 2009 EASY ROCK 94.3 "just the rite rock" launched their station here at TAAZ BAR it was a simultaneous event nationwide. TAAZ BAR is honored to have CENTERPOINT BAND and DATU PRINCE perform on their stage. Truly CENTERPOINT BAND is the pride of GENSAN we are really the home of the CHAMPIONS. They made that simple event GRANDEOUS.

So, GENSAN lets WELCOME EASY ROCK 94.3 to our radio dials "just the rite rock." EASY ROCK 94.3 is a sister company of K101 LOVE RADIO but caters to a different market.

Last March 16, 2009 a “Plurk Fiesta” was done at Envy Me Salon & Spa, Pioneer Avenue General Santos City. All the plukers and bloggers of Gensan had an exclusive 50% discount on ALL services. Bariles and Marz had a relaxing Facial. Tammy had her hair colored. Chic had a hair treatment. Gilbert and Ayel tried our foot spa services. Rammyboi, Tanchi, Jessamin, Samara, Leonard, Roxanne (my best friend) and Me all chatted at one corner with chips on our hands. They taught me how to edit my blog template. Lito was also there, he tried our pedicure service and Lotie had a hair cut.

After their salon experience and pampering we all went upstairs to the rooftop of the building for our dinner which was prepared by Eman, my boyfriend. We had a bountiful meal the menus were: sugbang panga and kinilaw (thanks to chic for the fish), steak na “baboy damo,” baby back ribs, vegetable salad. After eating we chat a little while and I shared to them my plans on opening a bar at the place. They suggested things which are very much helpful for me who am just starting a small business. I had a very nice time with them and I’m looking forward for our next get together.

I was busy chatting with fellow bloggers that i forgot to take pictures inside the Salon (hehehehe *chismosa* man gud). Picture taken during dinner only.
